What is recorded here
Dupplin Castle Policies and Blairbell Wood mark a quarry beside Perth and Kinross, though no date or owner remains attached to the cut stone. The land may have fed local building or simply discarded unwanted rock, while men swung hammers in darkness or waited for light to reveal the depth of their wound. The policies still hold that forgotten labour, waiting for a person brave enough to walk past the castle shadow and ask the earth what it took.
Scotland's National Record of the Historic Environment records Dupplin Castle Policies, Blairbell Wood as Quarry (period Unassigned). The official map says its point is accurate as follows: NGR given to the nearest 10m. The record does not by itself mean that the public may enter the place.
The historic-place record does not grant public access. Check current conditions and ownership before entering land or a building.
