Fincastle is a prehistoric cup marked rock in Perth and Kinross, Scotland, where ancient hands pressed hollows into solid stone before written history existed. The small circular wounds suggest ritual, measurement or simple human presence, yet no surviving account explains whether love, fear or hunger drove the chisel. That uncertainty is not a gap, but the edge of the story: the rock still keeps its part of the conversation.
Scotland's National Record of the Historic Environment records Fincastle as Cup Marked Rock (prehistoric). The official map says its point is accurate as follows: NGR given to the nearest 10m. The record does not by itself mean that the public may enter the place.
