Weem Castle stood near Aberfeldy as the ancestral seat of Clan Menzies until destruction around 1502, leaving behind a marriage stone set in 1371 for James Menzies and Barbara Stewart. The loss erased a turbulent highland stronghold, yet the surviving fragment still carries the weight of centuries of conflict, exile and memory.

Weem Castle was a medieval tower house built in the 16th century, likely by the MacFarlane family, who were prominent in the area. It is remembered for its strategic location near the River Findhorn and its association with local clan history in the Scottish Highlands.
