Castle Pill marks the east edge of Milford Haven where a medieval castle guarded the narrow inlet. It stood beside Pill Priory and the busy waterway used by Vikings, Henry II’s invasion fleet, and later warships. The name still points to that defensive moment when stone and sea met at the throat of the haven.
