In pasture 30m W of a roadway that marks the townland boundary with Anglesborough. Earthwork (LI057-041----) lies 220m to the E. Depicted on the 1897 ed. OSi 25-inch map as a rectangular-shaped area (dims. c. 27m NW-SE; 26m NE-SW) enclosed by a bank. To immediate NE there is a raised rectangular-shaped area (dims. c. 38m NW-SE; 34m NE-SW) defined by a scarp. Truncated at SW and SE by roadway. Westropp described the monument as ‘two courts adjoining at one corner’ (1916/17, 22). Conjoined enclosures visible on Digital Globe orthoimage taken between 2011-13 and on Google Earth orthoimages as two rectangular shaped areas delimited by trees.
