What is recorded here

The public map records this plaque for Bristol/Somerset boundary. Its recorded inscription reads: This stone marked the boundary between Bristol and Somerset (1373 to 1835) separating Bathurst Basin formally ‘Treen Mill Pond’ in Bristol from ‘Shepherd’s Close’ in Somerset, originally belonging to St. Augustine’s Priory.

A plaque record does not grant entry to a building or private land. View it from a public place unless permission is clearly given.
