What is recorded here

The public map records this plaque for Charles Burrell's Works. Its recorded inscription reads: Founded in the late 18th Century, Burrell's made over 4000 steam and traction engines at this site until its closure in 1928. This building was the former paint shop and is one of three surviving Burrell factory buildings in Minstergate.

A plaque record does not grant entry to a building or private land. View it from a public place unless permission is clearly given.
