The public map records this plaque for Victoria Gardens. Its recorded inscription reads: Victoria Gardens These gardens were enclosed by the Corporation, and laid out by public subscription in commemoration of the Queen's diamond jubilee, and were opened by Mrs Morgan Richardson June 22nd 1897
