Why this matters

SM UB-122 was a German U-boat (Type UB III) that served in the Imperial German Navy during World War I. It was scuttled in 1917 as part of the fleet action at Scapa Flow, and while no lives were lost, it remains a historically significant wreck linked to the post-war internment and scuttling of the German High Seas Fleet.
