Lofoten

Scotland's National Record of the Historic Environment records Lofoten as Steamship (period Unassigned)-(1918). The official map says its point is accurate as follows: NGR given to the nearest 1m. The record does not by itself mean that the public may enter the place.

The *Lofoten* was a steamship built in 1918, later involved in World War II as a target ship; it was scuttled in 1942 off the Orkney Islands to prevent capture by German forces. No lives were lost, and it holds historical significance as part of wartime naval operations in Scottish waters.
