South Gyran

Scotland's National Record of the Historic Environment records South Gyran as Cist (bronze Age), Cremation (bronze Age), Cinerary Urn (pottery)(bronze Age). The official map says its point is accurate as follows: NGR given to the nearest 10m. The record does not by itself mean that the public may enter the place.

Bronze Age cist burial, dating to approximately 1000–800 BCE. It is significant as an example of early funerary practices involving cremation and the use of cinerary urns in Scotland.
