South Ronaldsay, Hesta Head

Scotland's National Record of the Historic Environment records South Ronaldsay, Hesta Head as Chambered Cairn (neolithic). The official map says its point is accurate as follows: NGR given to the nearest 10m. The record does not by itself mean that the public may enter the place.

Neolithic chambered cairn; dates to the early to middle Neolithic period (c. 3500–2500 BCE). It is significant as part of Orkney's rich prehistoric landscape, reflecting early communal burial and ritual practices in northern Scotland.
