Muckle Castle is a post-Medieval dyke, planticrub and turf bank in Orkney Islands, Scotland. Its earthworks still trace the shape of a residence that relied on local soil rather than distant stone. People may have lived inside that simple boundary, watching the sky change through gaps in the bank. The castle is small in the story but large in the imagination because it preserves the shape of domestic ambition on Orkney.

The official map says its point is accurate as follows: NGR given to the nearest 1m. The record does not by itself mean that the public may enter the place.
