Burn of Lushan stands in Orkney Islands as a medieval castle, its stones still tied to the coast though time has worn most of its shape away. It may have watched ships, stored grain, or hidden people from storms and invaders alike. The burn itself still moves around the ruins, carrying mud and memory toward the sea. What is left belongs to everyone and no one, a quiet challenge to decide whether strength or surrender shaped the place.

Scotland's National Record of the Historic Environment records Burn of Lushan as Castle (medieval). The official map says its point is accurate as follows: NGR given to the nearest 10m. The record does not by itself mean that the public may enter the place.
