This green commemorative plaque records: Bolckow House 1872 This distinctive building was originally designed by W. H. Blessley, although the ground floor frontage was added in 1885 by Newcombe and Knowles. Formerly occupied by the North Eastern Banking Co. the building later housed the Chamber of Commerce from 1935-1988. Recorded plaque organisation: Middlesbrough Heritage.
