This black commemorative plaque records: The Town Wall The Herber Tower, built in the late thirteenth century, was restored in 1770-1 by the Company of Armourers, Curriers and Feltmakers who used the tower for a meeting hall. Recorded plaque organisation: Newcastle City Council.
