This blue commemorative plaque records: The rudhall bell foundry this famous company of bell founders relocated here from westgate street in 1727. between 1684 and 1848 the foundry produced over 5000 bells for churches throughout britain and the new world.the oldest peal of bells in america at christ church, boston were cast here in 1774.
