To commemorate the indenture dated 8 June 1307 in which Henry de Lact, Earl of Lincoln, Lord of the Honour of Clitheroe, granted to the burgesses of 'Clyderowe and to their heirs all the soil and the woods of Salthille to make their profit thereof in the best manner they can'.
