This green commemorative plaque records: River Wim/Win. Now referred to as "The Millstream" this is the river from which the town of Wimborne was named. Wimborne derives its name from the Old English winn and burna, which together mean "meadow stream" Recorded plaque organisation: Wimborne Minster Town Council.
