This grey commemorative plaque records: The Gateshead Dispensary 1832-1946 Founded after the outbreak of cholera in 1831 to assist in preserving the public health and make medicine available to the poor. The Dispensary occupied this house 1855-1946. Recorded plaque organisation: Gateshead Dispenary Charity, Tyne and Wear County Council, Gateshead Metropolitan Borough Council.
