What is recorded here

This black commemorative plaque records: The Midland Railway built Kettering Station in 1857: the original building, on Platform 1, was designed by Charles Henry Driver. In 1879 Platforms 2 to 4 were built with canopies in Driver's style. Driver's original building was replaced by the present structure, designed by Charles Trubshaw, in 1895. The station is Listed Grade II and the canopies were restored in 2021.
