This blue commemorative plaque records: Church House. One of the oldest buildings and thought to be the ancestral home of George Washington. His Great Grandfather, Lawrence Washington, who was mayor of Northampton in 1532 and 1545 lived here. Recorded plaque organisation: Higham Ferrers Town Council.
