This blue commemorative plaque records: Tollard Down. At the time of the Domesday Survey this site was a watermill and the stream still flows on the opposite side of the road. The present cottage is 17th century and was previously known as Sarah Flint's Cottage. Recorded plaque organisation: Brixworth Heritage Trail.
