This blue commemorative plaque records: Built as the Assembly Rooms in 1830 (design by R. H. Sharp under the direction of Charles Mountain, Arch.) this building became the New Theatre in 1939 and is now owned and run by Hull City Council. Recorded plaque organisation: Hull City Council.
