This blue commemorative plaque records: The Coach and Horses. Dating from the early 18th century this Grade II listed old coaching Inn of square course lias was reputed to be able to change a team of four horses in under four minutes the fastest time on this north bound route. It was to this Inn that Major Isham came in October 1854 to confess to the murder of William Wood. Recorded plaque organisation: Brixworth Heritage Trail.
