This blue commemorative plaque records: The Old Chapel. This imposing building was built by Thomas Holt in 1811 on land sold to Brixworth Wesleyan Methodists for only 10 shillings. A schoolroom was added in 1860 paid for by local farmer Francis Underwood. The last recorded baptism was in 1972. Recorded plaque organisation: Brixworth Heritage Trail.
