This blue commemorative plaque records: The Maister family were prominent Hull merchants in the 17th and 18th centuries. Maister House was rebuilt after a fatal fire in 1743 with the advice of Lord Burlington. The staircase hall is open to the public during office hours. Recorded plaque organisation: Hull City Council.
