This blue commemorative plaque records: Built circa 1784, and known as 50 Salthouse Lane, this building was from 1828 a branch of the Bank of England. From 1860 it was used as a sailors' home and is now known as 105 Alfred Gelder Street. Recorded plaque organisation: Hull City Council.
