This blue commemorative plaque records: First recorded as The Keye in 1622 as a coaching inn and post office, the current building dates from the mid-18th Century. At the rear, the Grade II listed stables housed up to 50 horses where you can see an ornate window and statues at the first-floor level. the Georgian Assembly Rooms hosted dances, auctions, plays and cock fighting.
