What is recorded here

This multicoloured commemorative plaque records: Old Post Office (1846-1870). John George Jackson (Architect). The penny postage system (1839) led to increased business and this fine building was used as the post office until the town's present building was opened in March 1870. Recorded plaque organisation: Leamington Old Town.
