This blue commemorative plaque records: George Martine of Claremont, 1635-1712. Lived in South Court, and his coat of arms is on the wall above. He was a lawyer, commissary clerk of St Andrews and author of the first history of the archbishopric: - "Reliquiae divi andreae".
