What is recorded here

This black commemorative plaque records: Louise Carnegie Gates. These Category A listed gates were funded by the Carnegie Dunfermline Trust and dedicated in 1929 as a tribute to Andrew Carnegie's widow. Several houses and shops were taken down to create this new entrance to Pittencrieff Park and give a clear view to the Carnegie statue.

A plaque record does not grant entry to a building or private land. View it from a public place unless permission is clearly given.
