This blue commemorative plaque records: New Town / Doctors Row A hamlet of handloom weavers and nail makers cottages with shops, alehouses and its own water supply. Constructed around a Doctors House mainly between 1825 and 1835. Recorded plaque organisation: Longridge Heritage Committee.
