This blue commemorative plaque records: Doctor Peter Hennis Behind this wall is the restored grave of Peter Hennis a much admired and revered physician and the hero of the Exeter cholera outbreak of 1832. He died following a duel on Haldon Racecourse in 1833. Recorded plaque organisation: Exeter Civic Society.
