This red commemorative plaque records: Britain's Highest Pub, at 1,732ft, the Tan Hill Inn was also the first pub in the UK to be solemnised for weddings. Made famous once again when New Year's Eve revellers were snowed in for three days in 2009. Recorded plaque organisation: Famous Grouse.
