This blue commemorative plaque records: Cirencester Canal Wharf. Near here between 1783-1789 a wharf was built to serve the Cirencester branch of the Thames Severn Canal from Siddington Junction. The canal was abandoned in 1933. Recorded plaque organisation: Cirencester Civic Society.
