This grey commemorative plaque records: Frederick James Ritchie (1826 to 1906). Worked with Professor Charles Piazzi Smyth to set up the One o' Clock Gun & Time Ball system. The clockmaker lived in this house for 40 years. Recorded plaque organisation: One o' Clock Gun & Time Ball Association.
