This black commemorative plaque records: The first meeting of the Staffordshire Agricultural Society was held here at the Swan Inn on 20th May 1800 President Richard Dyott of Freeford Manor together with 35 other farmers and Landowners Unveiled by Richard Dyott of the Lichfield District to commemorate 200 years of the society Recorded plaque organisation: Staffordshire Agricultural Society.
