This bronze commemorative plaque records: Great Western Steamship Company Drawing Offices built from 1839. Grade II* listed and maintained by the ss Great Britain Trust. Restoration work in 2008 was made possible by a legacy from John Solway (1944 - 2007). Life long member and long-standing supporter of the ship. Recorded plaque organisation: ss Great Britain Trust.
