This blue commemorative plaque records: 1729 Richard Churcher bequeathed money to establish this college in Petersfield to train boys in mathematics and navigation, for apprenticeship to the East India Company. The College moved to its present site on Ramshill in 1881. Recorded plaque organisation: Petersfield Heritage.
