This blue commemorative plaque records: Oldest Cottage No 42, High Street Origianlly a thatched, cruck cottage - note the thickness of the walls. The cottage was rebuilt in 1984 and the timbers were carbon-dated to the 1590's. Recorded plaque organisation: Wyre Borough Council.
