This blue commemorative plaque records: Market House. Built in 1843, the building was sold in 1919 by the Keppel family to Garstang Parish Council to house their fire engine. Between the Town Hall and Market House is the 'Small Dark Hole' - Garstang's original prison cell. Recorded plaque organisation: Wyre Borough Council.
