This green commemorative plaque records: Ordnance Depot Railway These tracks carried munitions into the army depot behind this wall from the 1890s until the 1950s, delivered by a ‘Powder Boat’ from Woolwich Arsenal in London. Recorded plaque organisation: Fishergate, Fulford & Heslington Local History Society Friends of New Walk & York Civic Trust.
