This white commemorative plaque records: Former Municipal Offices for Lewes Borough Council. Designed by the Lewes Architect Rowland Hawke Halls (1879-1919) and opened on 27th January 1914. George Bankart (1866-1929) sculpted the plaster friezes from drawings made at Exceat, near Seaford. Recorded plaque organisation: Friends of Lewes Society.
