This blue commemorative plaque records: The Almoner's Hall was the domestic chamber block and hall of the senior monk responsible for the distribution of alms. The account book of William Morton, Almoner from 1448 to c.1462, is of national significance in the history of monastic administration. Recorded plaque organisation: Peterborough Civic Society.
