What is recorded here

This blue commemorative plaque records: On this site in 1872 George & Mary Elliott founded Elliotts Clothing Store. The original store started off making and selling bespoke shoes and suits that were all the rage in the 19th century. The store is still a family business run by the fifth generation of the Elliott family. Recorded plaque organisation: Rotary Club of Lymington.
