This blue commemorative plaque records: The Old Town Hall was built in 1870 by a group of prominent local people, including William Stone of Leigh Park House. The Hall served as a focal point for community activities. From 1909 it was used as a Drill Hall by Havant volunteers before eventually being purchased by Havant and Waterloo Urban District Council in 1921.
