This commemorative plaque records: Florence Moser. Philanthropist who endeavoured to overcome the injustices facing working women and their children in the late 19th century. Florence established the first City Guild of Help - based in Manor Row - for those in need of support, and was a major funder of Bradford Royal Infirmary. As a pioneer od nursery care, she opened a site known as "The Nest" in Bradford, where working mothers could leave their babies and young children to be cared for during the day. 1856-1921 Recorded plaque organisation: Bradford Civic Society.
