This grey commemorative plaque records: The Gogerddan Arms, later renamed The Lion Royal, was built c1727 and served as a mail-coaching inn from 1807-1862. From 1961-1989 it was Padarn Hall, a university hall of residence. Recorded plaque organisation: Aberystwyth Civic Society.
