This blue commemorative plaque records: This building was opened in 1937 as the Embassy Theatre. Designed by David Evelyn Nye, it was converted into a cinema in 1955, split into 3 screens in 1984 and closed in 1989. Recorded plaque organisation: Peterborough Civic Society.
